Medium Optimization for GA4 Production by Gibberella fujikuroi Using Response Surface Methodology

Gibberellin is an important plant growth regulator that has been widely used in agricultural production with great market prospects. However, the low yield from Gibberella fujikuroi restricts its application. To improve of gibberellin A4 (GA4), response surface methodology was this study to explore effect different types and concentrations vegetable oil precursors on GA4. Based a single factor experiment, Behnken box central composite designs were establish fermentation condition model, method for analysis. The results indicated optimum formula 0.55% palm oil, 0.60% cottonseed 0.64% sesame 0.19 g/L pyruvic acid, 0.21 oxaloacetic citric acid 48 h, which produced 4.32 times higher than without optimization. This suggests mathematical model valid predicting GA4 QJGA4-1.
